James Killian Spratt's horse head sculpture titled "Flaming Mane". Made of DURASTONE, a dense plaster-based material with the strength of ceramic but the unique sound of metal. Cast by Austin Productions in 1978, this hyper-realistic sculpture is hand painted in a faux bronze tone with verdigris accents. Back includes "J. Spratt" signature along with manufacturer markings and date. Bottom is finished with the original felt lining to protect surfaces.
Visible paint chipping.
